BREAKING NEWS!  Breast Implant Illness ( BII )

URGENT information for all persons who have had breast surgery with implants and have noted a decline in their physical or mental health.

BII presents as a collection of symptoms in people after having breast implant surgery.

Commonly reported physical and mental symptoms may include:

  • Chronic fatigue and headaches.
  • Persistent joint and muscle pain.
  • Unexplained respiratory difficulties.
  • Hair loss and frequent skin rashes.
  • Chronically dry mouth and eyes.
  • Poor memory and concentration.
  • Depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

If you suffer generally from feeling unwell after having had breast implant surgery you may be displaying symptoms of BII. The full understanding of this condition is still emerging, but it is believed to be a related to autoimmune and / or inflammatory response to the breast implants.

The treatment for BII is removal of the implants without delay.
