A guide to breast enhancement

Here at Belvedere clinic, Essex, we’ve been carrying out plastic surgery for over 35 years. One of our most popular treatment choices for women is breast enhancement – also known as a ‘boob job’. We understand how feeling great is linked to looking great – and want to do all we can to help our clients feel happy and confident in their own skin.

Boob jobs are often the first thing people think about when plastic surgery comes to mind, and with good reason. When done by trained professionals, the results can be subtle and natural – even though they can be completely life-changing! Of course, for a more enhanced appearance, we’re also happy to help.

Breast enhancement surgery at our Essex clinic starts by making a small incision, then placing an implant in a ‘pocket’ under the skin, which is stitched up afterwards. Once healed, depending on where the incision was made and whether it was a first or subsequent surgery, scarring may not be easily visible. This means people may not even be able to tell you’ve had a boob job at all!

There are lots of reasons clients come to our Essex clinic looking for a boob job – for instance, asymmetrical breasts, different-sized breasts, or a breast shape and size that doesn’t complement their body. Whatever the situation, our experts can help – and restore your confidence.

Breast enhancement is a type of surgery, so some downtime is to be expected. We advise our clients to take some time off work to recover, and to avoid any intensive exercise. Within 6 weeks, you should be able to resume your normal day-to-day activities, and within a matter of months, your healing should be complete.

There are a few things to bear in mind when having a boob job – whether you choose to do so at our Essex clinic, or elsewhere. As with any surgery, there is a risk of infection or bleeding, but specific to breast enhancement, the implant may crease, fold, rupture or even move inside the breast.

At Belvedere clinic, we use one of the best and safest silicone implants on the market. They feature a TrueMonobloc shell design to ensure the implants are strong and durable, while TrueTissue Dynamics gives them a natural look and feel. In addition, a tiny chip inside the implant, known as Q Inside Safety Technology, can enable the surgeon to ‘read’ implant information – from outside the body!

Here in Essex, we carry out breast enhancement surgeries regularly, and have many happy clients who now can’t imagine life without their implants. To find out how we could help you, book in for a consultation, where we’ll assess your suitability and make suggestions on which implants are right for you.
